Pilot Brothers: On the Track of a Striped Elephant

Developed in 1997 by studio Gamos located, I suppose, in Russia or Ukraine.

This is Cherepovets. And those are not nuclear weapons exploding in the horizon, but massive smoke columns from the factories that saturate this Russian city, one of the most polluted in the world. And I thought LA’s smog was bad. The name of the city—located near the Sheksna River—basically means city of skulls. Looking at the sky, it seems like a perfect a name to me.

Sennaya Square, known as Peace Square between 1963 and 1991, is a large city square in Central Saint Petersburg, located at the crossing of Garden Street, Moskovsky Prospekt, and Grivtsova Lane. The square was established in 1737, and was a market where hay, firewood, cattle were sold. It was built under the extension of the Garden Street, and grew quickly, becoming the cheapest and the most active market in Saint Petersburg.
